ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
A Foundation Born From Loss, Driven by Purpose
The David Mebuke Foundation was established in loving memory of David Mebuke — a man whose generosity and passion for learning inspired everyone around him.
OUR MISSION
Why the Legal Profession?
Lawyers shape policy, defend rights, and serve communities. Yet the legal profession remains one of the least diverse in America — and immigrant voices are almost entirely absent from its halls.
The financial barriers facing immigrant law students are not incidental — they are systemic. With zero access to federal aid, talented students are forced to choose between their dreams and their financial survival.
The David Mebuke Foundation exists to eliminate that choice.
DAVID MEBUKE
The Man Behind the Mission
David Mebuke was a man of extraordinary generosity and an unwavering belief in the power of education. His life was defined by devotion to family, community, and the faith that every person deserves the opportunity to reach their potential.
His daughter Keti carries his spirit forward — ensuring that what he gave her is given to a generation of students who need it most.
