Our Story
"The journey to establish the David Mebuke Foundation is one of profound personal significance and enduring hope, rooted in the life-changing power of education and selfless community support. Created in loving memory of my late father, David Mebuke—a man whose generosity and passion for learning inspired everyone around him—the Foundation stands as a living tribute to his legacy. Each scholarship is more than financial assistance; it is a commitment to opening doors for disadvantaged, minority, and immigrant law students and helping them pursue a future that might otherwise feel out of reach.

My own path as a first-generation immigrant from the Republic of Georgia reflects the challenges our scholars face, including financial hardship, uncertainty, and the struggle to belong. After losing my father during college and working multiple jobs to afford law school, it was the compassion and belief of early supporters that made my dream of becoming an attorney possible. The David Mebuke Foundation carries forward that same spirit of generosity and faith in the transformative power of education. We invite you to join this mission by investing in students who, like I once did, stand on the brink of opportunity and need a bridge to cross. Together, we can honor my father’s legacy and empower a new generation to realize their potential and build a legacy of their own."
